The pressure cooker is not intended for frying any foods in oil.
When operating in the pressure cooker mode, a minimum of two measuring cups of water or other liquid should be placed into the bowl. When cooking liquid or puréed foods under high pressure, the steam valve must not be released until 5 to 10 minutes after the end of the program’s operation. If released sooner, hot liquid may also be expelled along with the outgoing steam.
Caution! When opening the steam valve, a strong hot vertical plume of steam may be released during or at the end of the cooking process. The lid is automatically locked during operation in the pressure cooker mode.
Do not try to open it while in operation; this may lead to serious injuries. If the lid does not open effortlessly at the end of the cooking process, open the steam valve and wait until the pressure inside the working chamber is released.
Do not remove the hot bowl without using protective gloves, an oven cloth, or special tongs for that purpose.
